Get to Know Us

We are Bible believing Christians who identify with Bible doctrine and hold to Baptist distinctives. We have a true desire to glorify the Lord by helping others to see Christ clearly in a time when so many are confused as to who Jesus Christ is. He is plainly presented in the written Word of God as God's answer for man's sin problem. Jesus Christ is truly God manifested in the flesh (Jn. 1:1-3, 14), and as such, He is the only mediator between God and men, for He is also the man Christ Jesus. It is God's will for all men everywhere to repent and believe the Gospel, which is the good news of Christ's death, burial, and resurrection for the sins of all mankind (Acts 17:30; 1 Corinthians 15:1-4). The New Testament Scriptures tell us of "...God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time." (1 Timothy 2:3-6).

This is the message we aim to preach to every man, even that "...when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:6-8). God demonstrated His great love to all mankind when His dear Son was crucified upon the cross for our sins. When Christ died on Golgotha's hill (Matt. 27:33; Mk. 15:22), He died in our place and for our redemption. Again, we must hear what the Word of God says, "For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:" (1 Peter 3:18). Then in Luke 23:33, "And when they were come to the place, which is called Calvary, there they crucified him, and the malefactors, one on the right hand, and the other on the left."

It is our hope that God will use us as His ambassadors to help you come to reconciliation in our Lord Jesus Christ (2 Cor. 5:18-21). We recognize that only the Holy Spirit can open blinded eyes and cause the sinner to see his or her desperate condition before God (Jn. 16:7-11), yet it is our prayer that God will use us to help guide you along this way and point you to the only One who can save your soul from sin, death, and Hell (Acts 8:29-31; 1 Corinthians 2:1-5). Therefore, it is our aim to simply point men, women, boys, and girls to Christ and help them get to Calvary!

After the soul's salvation, we desire and aim to help believers grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ through the sound preaching and teaching of God's Word (2 Pet. 3:18). Salvation is only the starting point in the life of faith. Those who come to faith in Christ will be loved and taught the truth as it is in Jesus and guided with the Scriptures to live a life devoted to Christ and for the glory of God (1 Corinthians 6:19-20; 10:31). There will be the opportunity as cultivated by the Holy Spirit to experience both grace and growth in the Chrisitan life. Within the fellowship of the local church, each member will be instructed as to how Christ Jesus is their Head, the Pastor is their Under-Shepherd, the Bible is their Sole authority for faith and practice, and the Holy Ghost is that Divine Moderator in all things, and the local church is God’s headquarters for His Business in this age.

We capsulize who we are in the words penned long ago by the Apostle Paul under the guiding inspiration of the Spirit of God, "For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake." (2 Corinthians 4:5).
